Does anyone know what to do
When the world gives no sign or clue
Should we travel left or right
How do we know when the end's in sight
Its the age old story of choice and fate
Is the end already set, already a date
Do we travel a path predicted
Or can we go off course unguided
Should i pick what i already know
Or another path, a brand new show
Do my decisions really count
It's a question no answer full of doubt

Silence

The written word my gift is given
Its a powerful tool that keeps me driven
Writing is so key to me
Spoken word is so hard for me
You'll learn almost everything
From the rhymes i sing
Cause i'm a true artist inside
Behind my words i happily hide
Get me to speak it all goes wrong
It becomes a muddle no longer a song

Why is love so hard to pin down
It always seems to go round and round
I dont know how to be when done
I feel like the day just motors on like a drone
Why aren't you here to guide me
Why do i have to be alone is that to be
Does God have a plan for us all
Or is it only us that get the call
I dont understand why we have to suffer
Go through days where we can't feel rougher
They say more pain is good for us
So when we feel joy we have have it sussed
You bought me joy and peace
And now you're gone i start to cease
Why can't you be here at all times
To the devil himself i'll offer bribes
I love you with all my heart
But i know doing so tears me apart
I should give up, be happy alone
But you woke me up and put me in the zone
I can't escape from what you've done
Your love is as strong as the sun

When?

When is it right to be in love
Is it just given from him above
Should we all fit like a glove
Or does cupid give us a shove

Do we really believe in fate
Or are we just running late
So easy to just open the gate
Is this really love or just hate

Hate or love i hear you ask
How can hate come into this task
We love others deeply and in the glow bask
But do we love ourselves behind the mask

Why?

Why do we prefer to look down
So in our own fears we drown
Unable to hear for the sound
Of the eternal frown

Sometimes i cannot see
Why we just cant let people be
Let you be you and me be me
Instead of acceptance we flee

I struggle to just be myself
To not get dragged down by everyone else
And allow my inner to melt
Sometimes i feel it would be easier if not felt

Can we not just raise our head
And wake up out of this bed
Its time our knowledge we fed
Stop us being mis-led

These are the problems we face
In a world that has no base
I hope we can all present a good case
When for those pearly gates we race

Was this the intention of our breed
To grow up in a world of eternal greed
From one tiny little seed
A whole world we must feed

I hasten to add and not in jest
To our lives we must add zest
This whole new world we have messed
Why stray so far from our nest

Why do we prefer to look down
So in our fears we drown

We can never smile due to the frown
