Pain

Sometimes I wonder why we struggle so hard
If all that prevails is pain when we let down our guard
Am I such a terrible person that I deserve such stress
Have I let my life get in such a bad mess
When I wake up in the morning and wish to sleep
Those dreams of better days I truely wish to keep
To be alone forever more
Feels like one more chore
I've given up on ever being happy
And just struggle on and see
Why dont you understand my chain of thought
The truth in my words was never sought
Goodbye world of hatred and pain
I've left for a world where those feelings are slain

Destiny

When life no longer satisfies need
It is time those warnings you heed
I know not what lies ahead my guide
But i know from destiny i cannot hide
Give me strength to push on harder
Give me sight to go farther
Allow me knowledge of that which is key
To aid in fulfilling my own destiny
Don't let me walk around dumb and blind
With only fear to fill my mind
Allow me vision to think clearly
Even though life can seem so dreary
Cut that path for me tight and strong
So my life may maintained and long
I ask not that i know all there is and will be
Just enough to make sure i live life in glee
And not in total misery
